: Girl Ellie and her friends are freeing the inhabitants of the Fairyland from the power of the evil and grumpy Oorfene Deuce and his wooden soldiers, whom he made in his carpentry workshop.
Wonderful powder
In the Blue Country, which was inhabited by the kind and kind-hearted Munchkins, there lived a sullen lonely carpenter Urfin Djus, who was trying to be different in everything from his fellow tribesmen. Oorfene was a master of his craft, but the things he did turned out to be just as evil as he was. They tried to hit the owner, and children's toys had such fierce faces that the children, seeing them, cried. Soon, Urfin lost his buyers and asked Gingham to serve, which caused the hostility of the Zhevuns.
When a wagon fell on Gingham and crushed it, Oorfene was in another part of the country. After the death of the sorceress, he took her eagle owl, the wise Guam, and again settled alone.
Once, in the garden of Urfin, the wind brought the seeds of an extraordinary plant. From them it was possible to make a powder that animates objects. At first, Oorfene revived the murdered bear and toy clown. The munchies, upon seeing this, decided that Oorfene was a powerful wizard. Having subjugated the inhabitants of his village, Oorfene forced them to collect the wood from which he made wooden soldiers - masons. Over the soldiers, Urfin placed mahogany corporals and a rosewood general, whom he taught military science.
Having overthrown with the help of a wooden army the current ruler of the Blue Country Prem Kokus, Oorfene Djus proclaimed himself the ruler, and decided to conquer the Emerald City.
Having overcome obstacles with losses, the army entered the Emerald Country. An old friend of the ruler of the Emerald City, the Scarecrow of the Wise, the Kaggi-Karr raven, who now occupies a prominent position at the court, saw a wooden army and flew to the palace to warn. But the birds flew into the soldiers and detained them.
The assault failed, and the army decided to besiege the city. Residents refused to join the battle, only Faramant and Dean Gyor defended the city. But the inhabitants ran out of food supplies, and Scarecrow sent Kaggi-Karr to the Lumberjack for help.
Oorfene threw his assistant, a wooden clown, over the wall, and he found in the city a traitor - Ruf Bilan. Having come to the aid of Faramant and Dean Gyor, Ruf Bilan mixed sleeping pills with drink to the guards and, when they fell asleep, let the enemy in.
The lumberjack who came to the rescue fell into the trap. He and the Scarecrow flatly refused to serve Oorfene Deuce and he imprisoned them in the basement. The scarecrow decided to send Ellie a letter of help. Having tied a leaf with a pattern to the Kaggi-Karr foot, the captives sent a crow to Kansas.
To gain a foothold in the role of ruler, Urfin appointed a grandiose folk celebration, at which the musicians refused to play and the orchestra was created from masons. So that people believe that he is a magician, Urfin ate some mice and leeches, which the cook prepared from meat and chocolate cream.
Soon, the court chronicler presented an extensive report, which irrefutably proved that the genus of Urfin comes from the ancient kings, and therefore, Urfin rules the country quite legally.
To catch the dissatisfied, Oorfene made wooden policemen. They had thin legs that made them unusually fast, and huge ears.
To help friends
Meanwhile, her uncle, mother’s brother, one-legged sailor Charlie Black, came to visit Ellie. He was a sea captain, survived many adventures, but Ellie's story about a trip to the Magic Land amazed him.
Once, during an evening walk, a raven threw herself into Ellie's hands, to which the boys knocked out a wing. A leaf was attached to the crow's paw, on which the Lumberjack and Scarecrow were painted. The pattern was crossed by straight lines. Charlie and Ellie guessed that friends are behind bars and they need help.
Soon Charlie, Ellie with Totoshka and Kaggi-Karr went on a trip. After many days of travel, they approached the desert, and then moved on a ship made by Charlie. Finally the mountains surrounding the Magic Land appeared, but then the ship changed course, and, having hit a rock, it crashed. Having looked closely, travelers saw the inscription "Gingham" on the stones. The evil sorceress conjured stones, so that no one from the outside could penetrate the Magic Land. It was impossible to move away from the stones. Travelers set up camp and began to wait for a happy occasion. Water and food supplies ran out, strength ran out. The crow beat and asked to be free, Ellie had the idea that Gingham’s witchcraft was not in power over her, a resident of the Magic Land, and released a bird.
Soon the water ran out, and then a crow returned with a brush of wonderful grapes in its beak. With the help of berries, travelers regained their strength, passed stones and found themselves in the Magic Land, where the ability to talk returned to Kaggi-Karr and Totoshka.
Once in the Blue Country of the Munchkins, travelers learned about the lawlessness of the new ruler. Kaggi-Karr flew into the forest to call Leo. While Leo got to the Blue Country, the crow hastened to the Emerald City to tell the prisoners that Ally had already come to their aid. She also said that the residents of the Emerald City repent that they did not come to the aid of the Scarecrow, and wish to return the old ruler.
Inspired by the news, the Scarecrow called a people from the tower and delivered a speech in which he urged the residents not to give up, since Ellie arrived and the victory was near. Upon learning of this, Oorfene Deuce put the Scarecrow in the dungeon.
To free the Munchkins, the governor of Oorfene Deuce in the Blue Country was tricked out of the house. Accompanied by wooden soldiers and their corporal, the governor fell into a trap - Chewers were free.
On a familiar road paved with yellow brick, overcoming already familiar obstacles, friends got into the Emerald Country. With the help of the queen of mice, Ramina, they entered the dungeon to get into the Emerald City through the underground passage. Ramina warned that a terrible monster lives in the dungeon, and a country of miners is located behind a glassed window. The miners cannot tolerate sunlight and only surface at night to exchange minerals for food. They are peaceful people, just do not like when they invade their lives.
In the dungeon a terrible monster really lived - Six-legged. He attacked the travelers, but fled after being injured. In the dungeon, friends saw a hole, beyond which was a country of underground miners. They also saw Six-legged, who was spinning wheels to pump water. Suddenly in front of the hole appeared a flying lizard on which a man was sitting. A man shot from a bow at travelers who, fortunately, managed to bounce.
Having reached the tower, Ellie changed into a resident of the Emerald City and, with the help of the palace chef, entered the dungeon where Faramant and Dean Gyor were sitting. Having freed them, as well as the Scarecrow and the Lumberjack, the travelers went to the Purple Country, so that the skilled craftsmen of Miguna would make them weapons.
Victory
With the help of his ax, the Lumberjack cut down a detachment of blockheads and freed his country from invaders. Having received rich gifts and a cannon that fires, friends returned to the Emerald City to free the country from Oorfene Deuce.
Meanwhile, Oorfene Deuce, frightened by the appearance of Ellie in the country, began to make new soldiers. Sparing himself, he worked day and night, but then the powder ended and the wooden army came to an end.
Shamefully losing the battle, Oorfene Deuce was captured. The splendor of the Emerald City was restored, the trial began on Urfin Djusom, and Ruf Bilan managed to hide in the dungeon.
The Wise terrified, having listened to Charlie’s advice, decided to leave Urfin Juce alone with him, let alone be the punishment for him. Guessing that all the anger of the blockheads in their faces, Scarecrow ordered to make their faces kind and cheerful. The general became a dance teacher, and the masons made the path from the Emerald Country to Blue safe. Ellie with Totoshka and Charlie returned home.
