Nobleness is a trait characteristic of many of our beloved literary heroes. Perhaps a noble person is worthy of respect, like no other. His heart is a model of fidelity and devotion, he behaves with dignity and virtue. Many writers of different eras resorted to the creation of just such images.
In the novel F.M. Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment" Sonechka Marmeladova - the owner of a pure and noble heart. This is a brave girl who sacrificed herself for the sake of the family and became a moral judge for Rodion Raskolnikov. The heroine sincerely loved Rodion, considered him a soul mate: “I also transgressed,” she says. Sonya believed in the “healing” of the hero, read him a parable about Lazarus, and wanted to help. She went to hard labor with him, knowing how hard it would be, because she could not give up, betray her beloved. Itself, being more than once dishonored and abandoned, Sonya Marmeladova retained morality. Her noble heart is not capable of treason.
And in the epic novel L.N. Tolstoy "War and Peace" the owner of the same noble heart - Pierre Bezukhov. The hero understood that Natasha, with whom he was in love, would never choose him. The girl wanted to be near Prince Andrey, sincerely loved him, dreamed of family happiness next to this man. Pierre was not ready to break the life of young Rostova, was very worried about her, so he voluntarily refused any attempts to win the girl’s heart. Pierre didn’t just backtrack, he helped Prince Andrei to establish relations with Natasha, and after their separation he even acted as a guide between them. The hero showed himself as a real man who puts his well-being of a girl dear to him above his happiness. He becomes a friend for her, who will only shyly say: “If I were the most beautiful, I would ask for your hand.” Probably, because Pierre’s heart remained faithful to Natasha to the very end, life rewarded him, putting everything in its place at the end of the novel.
A noble soul is a very rare phenomenon these days. But if someone happens to meet such a phenomenon, then you can be calm, because Honore de Balzac is right: a noble heart cannot be unfaithful. Such a person will not betray and will not leave in difficult times.
