(288 words) The story of I. S. Turgenev “First Love” can be considered autobiographical. Perhaps that is why the images of heroes created by the author seem so familiar and close to the reader. One of the main heroines of “First Love” is Princess Zinaida Alexandrovna. This is a young woman of about twenty, slender, blond. She knows how to enjoy life, frivolously treats others. Aware of his own superiority, Zinaida shows arrogance towards her fans. Volodya, the narrator, remarks that she is flirty and full of desire to love and fall in love with herself.
It seems that a young woman never stands still. Her mood is also changing rapidly. Zinaida is sometimes having fun, sometimes behaving coldly and detached, then sad, thinking about the future. She has a controversial character. Perhaps that is why the princess feels so free in nature, walking in the garden. One cannot help falling in love with such a heroine: she is mysterious and attractive in this. And Volodya knows absolutely nothing about love. For him, this is the first real feeling. Zinaida does not take the next fan seriously: she gives him humorous orders and, in the end, makes her a page. Despite her frivolity, the princess knows how to be judicious: she soberly assesses the feelings of Volodya and his father. Finally, Zinaida Alexandrovna makes a choice in favor of her first love. But she and Pyotr Vasilievich are not destined to be together. Therefore, in the following scenes, Zinaida is completely different: strict, sad. For the sake of passion, she sacrificed everything. The strength of her attraction is evidenced by an episode when she kisses a wound left by a lover who hit her with a whip. But a short heroine awaits life in the status of Madame Dolskaya: being pregnant from a married man, she hastily marries. After some time, she dies from childbirth.
So, I.S. Turgenev, drawing the image of Zinaida Alexandrovna, tried to show the vivacity of a young woman, her ability to love, attractive coquetry. Her character in this case has two sides: feline cruelty in the game with adorers and slavish devotion in true love.
